About This Blog

November 19, 2007

remember-the-black-dahlia.jpgI created this blog in response to my new curiosity with Elizabeth Short, her life, and what happened to her. What I write here will concern the case, her life, and my feelings concerning Elizabeth.

One element you will notice on the site that is differentfrom most other sites about Elizabeth (also known as “Bette” or “Beth”) is that I will never refer to her as “The Black Dahlia. While some sources say that she was given this name before death, some day she was given this nickname by the press. It is the most commonly used phrase in reference to Elizabeth and her case. Frankly, I don’t like it. Therefore, it will not be used in this blog referencing Elizabeth. Since there are are many books and movies that have “Black Dahlia” in the title, the term will be used only in reference to those films or books.

This blog is dedicated to a beautiful, bright red rosebud named Elizabeth Short. There was nothing black about her. If she had been given more time, she would have bloomed into something wonderful. She would have been a star.

 Rest in Peace, beauty.
